A Short Note to Goblins, Families, and their Ilk

Yes, I hear you
I’m not doing it right.
I’m lazy, oh and stupid, sure. I’m wasting
time, and what’s that?
Ah, I’m a WASTE of time, got it.
I offer the world nothing, spit.
and you don’t think I’m listening
Ok, what else do you want to sing?
I always do this, see your serious face
How about I give you three minutes
make your case.

Let me summarize what I think I’ve heard:
I’ve disrespected you, your mother, and the written word
I don’t give a hoot, you know I will mar your plow,
your moon, perhaps even shave your right brow

Dearest gremlin, you’ve simply repeated yourself
again the story is old.
not good enough, stupid, too dumb to be sold
. . . wait
I’m not hearing  – your last word –
is it foul?  You’re cutting out . . .
can you hear me now?
