Julie is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Fellow of Engineering and the Chair of Engineering New Zealand, Auckland Branch. (There has only ever been one other female Chair in 100 years).
She has worked in the engineering industry for over 30 years. And has managed a wide range of engineering projects throughout the UK, Middle East and New Zealand.
Julie is recognised as:
- One of New Zealand’s top 50 women of achievement and:
- Women of Influence finalist for Diversity
Her first day at work in an engineering industry, Julie had no idea the career challenges ahead of her. Julie has learned the lessons of diversity and inclusion that allowed her to compete in the real world. and has touched the hearts and minds of countless professionals, engineers and women to make them realise that they also can achieve more.
She speaks on Leadership, Diversity, and Resilience. Her presentation on Culture in the Workplace includes Diversity, Inclusion, Well-being and Mental Health and what does is all mean for today’s businesses?
Meridee qualified from AUT with a Degree in Communication. She has put this to good use working with people primarily in training and development roles in the UK.
Meridee is a regular contributor to the ANZCAL newsletter and last year volunteered at the Auckland Mix and Mingle. She now divides her time between Auckland and Sydney, receiving treatment, writing and living.
